When The Rain Stops
There is this rose bush right outside the window in my room (which since middle school has been the living room) and for years I've tried to get some good pictures of it. One of my most popular on DA, Red Dead Roses, is from that bush.
This attempt im actually pleased with. It was right after a nice drizzle, and i was just getting home from out practicing, and it just looked so awesome. This one rose was hanging in the sun, while the rest of the plant was in shade.
Just a bit of white and color balance, and some messing with sharpness and exposure. For close up plant shots I've been working with a hybrid of my usual really sharp pictures, and adding a bit of overlaid Gaussian blur on the images. I like the, for lack of a better definition, heavenly look it gives em.
Enjoy

Beautiful. Reminds me of something old and fading and yet it's still trying to hold onto it's last bit of glory.
