Joyride

You all wanted to see -some of you more loudly than others- more Avatar art. I sort of wanted to draw some, but you see, it took me a really long time to draw Aang. I used a whole lot of references and re-drew major parts of it many times. And even after I'd finished it on paper, there were more parts I had to edit on the computer. I was really out of my league in drawing Avatar art, and I did NOT want to go through all of that trouble again any time soon.

Over a year later, I dove head first into perspective, just after moving past my anime tests. And after drawing some IZ and Nny from memory and being pleased with the results, I opened up my drawing of Aang and used it as reference to draw what you see here.

This is the first time I've been able to picture something in my head and have the skills to make it appear on paper... just as I imagined it. |D I always wanted to be able to do that, and so now that I can, I think I'm finally ready to do... well, anything. Like more Avatar art, like this, and without too much stressing over perfection!

Strike that. The coloring took FOREVER.
