Ceridwen

Here is Ceridwen, Ceri for short, for a contest on deviantART. Ceri is spunky and vivacious, she loves life and loves to move. She is not arrogant, but is not shy, she simply loves to be herself. Others are drawn to her because of her optimism and cheerfulness.

So, yeah, MiReina's contest was to create a mare for SwiftSilver, a unicorn stallion in a novel she is writing. I didn't come up with a background or anything. The pose I chose was quite awkward, actually, and I was a little nervous to start coloring because I didn't feel like the sketch was finalized enough, but I am thrilled with how she turned out! The background isn't so great, I wanted it much smoother, but you can only get so much out of colored pencils. Speaking of which, do you like this smooth look? Honest opinions please! I'm curious what others think. Anyways, I think her legs are a little long, and I'm not so sure about the tail, but other than that I'm pretty happy. So, enjoy! Feel free to critique if you see stuff wrong, but I'm not changing this piece.
