Ok, this is my second time working with watercolor and the first time painting on canvas. I did use a reference, a picture I had taken of my boyfriend on my phone...so it was tiny...and annoying.
Skin tones are a pain to get down when you have limited colors.

I think it came out really well, esp for a second attempt in watercolor, which can be a tricky medium

Aye, my advice to you: Start off really, really thin. Use a lot of water, and then start to go into detail.
Otherwise, it's a pretty good piece. It'd be nice if you added a background of some sort, even if it was just a plain color.
