Sylvia is one of my cockatiels I keep and the bird above her is Jerry who is her mate, their a provern pair and as you can see Sylvia is very protective of her chicks, two of which have come out of the nest
Whenever I get to near her nest she displays her wings, hangs up side down and tries to make herself look larger then she is and will hiss while swaying from side to side.
Normally displaying the wings in this mannor is something that only the males do when attracting a mate. Inside the nest is the last of her chicks has hasn't left the next yet though I saw him poking his head out this morning ^^
