This place is an Ex. Saltpeter extraction ofice called Santiago Humberstone
This was one of the main ofices working in Chile and it was known all around the world.
Now is justa ghost town and everything remmains there, and authorities are tdoing some effort to keep them for more time because they are a monument of hummanity... by UN.
THIS IS THE PUBLIC SCHOOL from the town, pretty small, but enough for all the kids there... oh yeah, entire families lived and worked inside the office, they had a theatre, pool, etc!
