She didn't turn into a catgirl until I was about halfway done sketching her... It's supposed to be like she's stretching because she just woke up or something (although I didn't include a yawn); that's also the reason why she's not wearing any clothes (I mean, I wouldn't think characters with fur all over their bodies would want to sleep in an additional layer of heat-trapping fibers, you know?).

...Anyway, I know what most of the anatomy errors are (for instance, her torso is too long, her breasts aren't quite in the right position for that pose, and her hand is...while it's better than it could be, it's still pretty bad. And her feet? Worse). So, rather than pointing out things I could work on, I'd like info on how I could fix what's wrong (in other words: anatomy help, pls).

Also, I decided to go the modest (and most likely a bit more accurate) route of having fur concealing her, shall we say, "special parts"? Of course, this is one of the few times I've drawn a clothesless anthro, so I'm still working on my style for that sort of thing.

Kilre Says:

Not bad at all, really.

What I'd do: Have the leg on the right be the one to hold all the body weight (ie, sole of the foot flat to the ground); move the leg on the left over to the right a slight bit, so the thigh is overlapping more of the crotch area, and lift the heel of the foot on the left side up a little (ie, pushing off with the toes, as in a stretch).

The knees I'd say appear to be facing forward: to change that, move the knee cap of the leg on the right over a bit to the right while not changing any other knee-related lines. On the leg on the left side...should be fine with the above changes to the leg.

Worry about the individual toes after getting the shape of the foot correct; that's how I do it. Leave the feet a general blob until satisfied with how the pose works, and then lay in the details.

Hope this helps

Kilre gave you some good advice.

Additionally, regarding the feet, I would look for some references, and an anatomy book wouldn't be a bad investment. One I'd suggest picking up is "Human Anatomy Made Amazingly Easy" by Christopher Hart. This one's been sitting on my shelf for several years. It's got a good, concise breakdown of different anatomical features, as well as bits on perspective, torsion, motion and the use of negative space. Good foot section, too. :)

And, hey, if you're feeling lazy, you could just pull your sock off!

One thing that strikes me about the breasts is that they're looking a little too pert, as if she's wearing an invisible bra. Breasts sway and squish and do all sorts of miraculous things. Hers should be a bit more affected by gravity, and I imagine we'd be seeing a little space between them, as result.

Finally, she needs more indication of underlying form. She's a rather lean type, and being of that sort of build myself, I know that when you're stretching like that, you'll see some indication of hip bones or ribs. You need not make her look like she's starving--just a line here and there, especially to the upper right (her left) torso, where the flesh would be drawn. Again, references can help here.

You can definitely do worse than this image. It seems like you're making a lot of progress, and I'm quite pleased to be seeing that. I think she's rather darling, and I'm amused that the way she's stretched indeed reminds me of a kitty just waking up from a nap!

:3 Not bad, still need a ways to go, but you're getting a lot better. *nodnod* X3 Keep up the good work!

Nice work, looks really good, a nice and simple character design I think so far. Good looking details and anatomy as well. Definitely think you should finish this or develop the character a bit more.
