Taylor Lynx

- Personality: One of the "softer" minions, still cruel when he has to be, but refuses to kill anyone... Often rebellious, and quick-tongued, even to Dr. Neo Cortex [this has gotten him in trouble many times before.]

Taylor was one of the original test subjects of the Cortex Vortex, being more successful than some that had went before him [Crash, Ripper Roo, Tiny, and Kong are a few of the previous subjects that had been either rejected, or severely altered...] Seeing this, Cortex placed him in charge of all of the minions, alongside Pinstripe Potoroo; the two quickly butted heads, but formed a considerably strong army under Cortex's reign.... Then, came the words from Cortex, "Tonight, we attack this island, and kill anything and everything that steps within our paths!!!" Though, most of the minions cheered in union, Taylor felt a chord of his own conscience ring... He a-walled the attack, just in time to keep himself from the line of fire that killed almost half of their squadron... When their forces were pushed back, Taylor was caught for his desertion... But, the Lynx was smart, and he weaseled his way out of the certain death verdict coming towards him...

He spent a year behind the same bars he had been throwing hostages in, and learned that to stay alive, he would have to follow Cortex's orders [Much to his displeasure; he hated being a minion...] But it didn't stop him from objecting every now and then... This lead to his demotion to a foot soldier... He now waits for the right time to free himself from Cortex's reign once and for all; even if he has to gain help from "the enemies", he just wants his old life back, before the Cortex Vortex...

It doesn't look like much, but I had so much trouble with this pic, D=

First off, this isn't the original pic; it was destroyed... :( I tried to paint it with acrylics, which turned out to be the worst thing I could have EVER thought of doing, and I had to throw it away... But, before I did, I used lined paper to sketch over it (Yes, I traced one of my own drawings, but this pic is love!!! I love it so much!!! Besides, it's my own picture that I traced... ), then transferred that drawing to plain ol' white paper... Overall, I've spent almost 5 hours on all 3 pics... Phew. ::

But, I'm pleased with this pic... He looks SO much better that the last time I drew him [Which was around '04... Geez, it's been a while!] Plus, Taylor has went through multiple changes:

1: He's no longer a Bandicoot, but a Lynx...
2: His fur color has changed from Orange/ Peach, to Tan.
3: Age; the previous version was 8 years old... This version is 22 years old.
4: MAJOR changes in background story [One very significant story change are his parents; back in '04, Taylor's parents were Coco and Slam Bandicoot. But, when I transferred Slam into the Sly Cooper fandom, the story line HAD to change... I thought this character would be wasted, until I sat down, and rethought his story]
5: Personality has changed.
6: Allies are different [He's now a minion, instead of a hero.]

... And, I could keep going on and on...
