So. I'm kinda alive again, and I have something that's even relatively complete sketchwise. This one's a major jump in the timeline. Like... a good... eleven thousand year jump.

It's Kaidona and Iaeruki, most definitely after the most recent thing I orchestrated in the utter doom of poor little Iae's happy ending (get your head out of the gutter, you ass). At this point, Kai-chan is still a widow, and has still only had one child, who's already grown, aged, and slipped into Saa'siiren.

Iae has married, he's settled in the one surviving piece of ancient Wieraiden, and has had three children with Shilke (yes, his wife)--a pair of twin girls, and a son. His inner afflictions had been diffused, the heavy burdens on his heart and soul had been lifted, and he'd finally found solace. However, while creeping into his middle age, the curse that is the Tayamoto clan's luck reared its massive head again, and struck in the very peak of his prime. Leaving his home and his family for a second time, he once again returned to his travels, and in the process, his afflictions and gripping nightmares returned as well.

This is one of the few nights he's slept since then. Haunted beyond any semblance of composure, he rises to the company of one of his oldest living travelling companions, who offers her motherly comforts--the only thing she has to soften the sting.

This one was a pretty big project, which I didn't realize until after I'd started it. It took me about... a month to fully complete the sketch stage of, and even with all the work that has been done, there are still flaws. I do like how it's come out, though, even with the shitty bed attempt for some also shitty attempt at background. The bed is probably why I will not add the rest of the room. I was focusing more on Iae and Kai-chan anyway.

This is probably the first picture I've decently done of Kai-chan's Reaver form, which is her chosen form since her husband's death. This is also the first picture that I've had a chance to age Iae with. That's why he actually looks somewhat masculine for once.

Additional notes: Kai-chan is supposed to be somewhat boyish, and naked. I got lazy by the time I was finishing Iae, and at the point it came time to give him pants, I couldn't figure out how to get them on there, didn't want to try for fear of fucking the picture up, and instead gave him strategically placed sheets. Feel free to smash me in the face with a frying pan. Due to the nature of the scenario depicted in this picture, I find nothing suggestive about it in any way, shape, or form, and thus did not label it as mature. Its rating is exactly the same on dA.

The textual version looks grammatically awkward, but it's actually correct. x__@ Oh, and much apologies for the immense comment size. I had a lot to say.
