I was really annoyed how on go-gaia the only art in the arena considered actual art is either
a. shiny CGs
b. shitty shoujo *angel* girls who look all kawaii drawn in exactly the same style by every artist
Never mind the proportions and everything as long as its pretty overused raped to death shoujo CG and style its ART. Does it matter that every pic looks the same just with different characters. Nope.
so those 2 girls are typical gaia art arena commenters. The guy is a stereotype of a different breed of species that isn't welcome there known as a dark artist. I sort of fit in that category well more than shoujo i'd say.
Ppl think that all dark/macabre artists are morbid emo suicidal freaks but thats not true some of us are just fucked up in the head.

This picture spews so much truth, its scary. Majority of people on that site are either a bunch of n00b-taku hyporcites or no talent hacks . GaiaOnline, sadly, has become the breeding ground for morons. And most of the time,people who leave comments like that either copy artwork, or are jealous of the persons creaitivty. This is also one of the reasons why alot of good artist refuse to post any new images in the art arena. Maybe make your own art thread in the picture post forum? ( You probaly already have one
)
On another note: I truly do admire dark artist. They have such creative ideas, and the mediums they explore with are amazing. You have a wonderful talent.

>.o; I have NOTHING against shoujo art, 'cept some artists really overdo it. (There are a few people who can pull it off well.) However, I love darker styles. (Even I suck at it; I think my art looks more.. eh. Shoujo? xD Wow.) And Gaia has no sense of art. There's always idiots that like shiny pretty CGs that are out of whack.
