To all the artists who contributed to the DnD "Draconomicon" supplement book, I owe many cookies. Otherwise, I would have been lost on the anatomy.
So, just a random idea I came up with while browsing through my copy of the 'nomicon mentioned above. Decided to list some of Shyria's physical atributes. A couple details are also borrowed from those in the Draconomicon.
Notes:
-Name: Shyria (doy)
-Height: 5'2" Human, 5'8" Dragon (As measured to top of brow. Due to their curvature, her horns extend another 2 inches above this and just under 12 inches horizontally from the skull)
-Neck Length: 2 feet, 8 inches
-Height to Shoulders: ~3 feet
-Weight: Estimated to be around 400-500 pounds in dragon form; Unknown in human form (anyone's who's tried to ask has ended up smacked.....hard)
-Length (Snout to Tail): ~20 feet
-Body Length (Front of shoulders to base of tail) 8 feet
-Tail Length: ~10 feet
-Wingspan: ~20 feet
-Misc. Features:
-5 claws on forepaws, arranged more or less like those of a human, except bulkier. Dexterous enough to permit most tasks (eating, opening doors, ect) excluding those that require precision control. She can draw and write in dragon form, but prefers to do so in human or at least half-dragon form (in half-form, her claws resemble human hands in size and dexterity save for scales and pointed nails). Talon size in dragon form is roughly 2 1/2 inches long. Shyria's talons are partially retractable, usually only leaving about an inch protruding from the paw; the talons are extended to full length only when hunting or in battle.
-5 claws on the hindpaws as well, though these lack the dexterity of the forepaws. They closely resemble those of a big cat. Claw arrangement is 4 large claws and 1 dewclaw.
-Pads on both fore and hindpaws for better traction and grip (idea from

's dragon form http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/32483212/ )
-Narrow pointed tounge (no fork), around 7-8 inches long
-Overall skull structure resembles a predatory cat like a lion or a tigers, save for longer canine teeth; the tips of these protrude out of the mouth like a crocodiles. The musculature of the skull also provides a greater range of movement and expression than exhibited by other reptiles. Shyria's bite strength is comparable to a crocodile of the same size, which is enough to sever limbs on smaller prey and rip sizeable chunks of flesh from larger ones.
-Ears measure around 8 inches long with notched tips, and are supported by cartilage spines that are anchored to the skull by ligaments.
-Two dorsal fins in front of wings (black spines, brown webbing) supported by cartilage anchored to body. Provide limited stability in flight or while swiming, but mostly for decoration.
-Scale texture is pebbly when viewed up close, somewhat leathery when viewed from far away (compare to the less armory bits on a crocodile). This provides a greater range of movement but provides less natural protection than larger scales. Unlike other reptiles and birds, Shyria lacks any large overlapping scales on her underbelly or wings. Shyria's scales are heavily resistant to fire (natural or magical) and provide some protection from magical attacks; however they lack the same degree of protection torwards mundane weapons (swords, spears, ect).
-The tail spade is mostly bone covered with a thin layer of hide. This can be jabbed at opponents like a spear head or lashed like a blade. The tail alone acts like a massive bludgeon in battle, and acts as a rudder in flight or while swimming.
-Shyria has incredible vison, both in day and night. She can percieve objects at twice the distance of a human with normal vison during the day, and four times the distance at night. In proper lighting, she has color vison.
-Shyria's sense of smell is also highly developed; her scent abilities are comparable in range to those of a big cat. She relies mostly on her nose to detect scents; she rarely uses her toungue to check the air like snakes do.
-Shyria can hear sounds in a range comparable to those a human can (she is not affected by ultra-high or low frequencies), but her ability to pick out the direction a sound is traveling from and to focus on certain sounds is far more developed than those of a human.
-Shyria's sense of taste is hardly any different from that of a human, apart from a greater tolerance towards raw meat. She is a fairly discriminating eater, but is still open to trying new dishes, though it takes a bit more persuasion to get her to eat vegtables. The only food Shyria really cannot abide is Mexican, which irritates her stomach. She is also a sucker for anything sweet; chocolate, cookies, and muffins all rank high on this list. Though an avid carnivore, Shyria has never ingested human flesh for sustinance and has no desire to do so, partially because of her naturally friendly nature and the fact that humans supposedly taste awful.
-Shyria is less sensitive to touch than a non-scaly creature, but nontheless is rather ticklish; this includes the soles of her hindpaws, underarms, and the base of her wings in dragon form, and the whole of her stomach, ribcage, underarms, and feet in human form (see here for an illustrated example http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/32602382/ )
Whew, i think anyone who managed to slog through all of that text up there deserves a cookie
