The Wise Mankey Commission: Part The Fourteenth

SWEET. Mother of Pearl Jam, if this doesn't open up a gigantic can of worms the likes of which you have never seen, my shock will be legendary.

Anyhow, 14th commission for Mankey (Yes, 14th, I did the 13th as a sketch last year at Otakon) and...I just wanna say this, to the owners of all the characters in this (save for Miss Urd since I'm sure Kosuke Fujishima don't give a ass' rat who I am 8D), if you take some kind of offense, I'm SORRY. I'm just the artist, I do what I'm told. I tried to talk Mankey out of it, he claimed it'd be all right...whatever, now we'll see.

In a horrible attempt to save Mankey's soul, I'll do some explaining. First off, this was inspired by two things. One, the promotional poster from last year's SummerSlam, which you can see..heyah...

Note Shawn Michaels and Triple H's similar positioning and activity...and also, a little event DX threw ironically about a year ago when they were banned from entering the arena on Raw once. They threw a 4th of July barbecue, they hijacked the production truck, they asploded Mr. McMahon's limo with fireworks (opposed to the nuke from about a month ago). So yeah, Mankey had visions of a DX-Rated BBQ all his own.

I have to say, I'm rather happy with how the DX shirts on all the characters came out. Although I can't say I'm too happy with how Kiki and especially Miss Urd came out. I think I drew them rather on the pudgy side. I dunno.

Mankey, I sure hope for your sake you were right.
