Some exotic species of dragonett. He or she's jumping of the first meters of a cliff and in half a second or so will open his/her wings and catch the fall.
I could imagine it's a tropical breed and maybe poisonous to avoid parasites.
Started as a doodle during lecture at university and didn't take too much time to color.

WOW...I love how well you've captured the leathery texture of those wings! The anatomy is fantastic. I'm reminded of that scene in the first Fantasia movie with the pterodactyls diving off of a cliff...but this is even better!
