... Da boo dee da boo die...

FINALLY, SHEEZY IS BACK, THE LAZY BASTARDS

First thing first, I'd like to say Ha

Ha

Ha

HA

HA

HA

I get to laugh, know why? Cause I might be a good drawer, hell I know I'm not great right now, and I'd probably lose to some of you here, but god damnit, I'd like to see one of you beat me at sculpting, I DARE YOU

Though I love all of the arts (except interpreted dance, but that don't count anyways), I love sculpting, it is my passion, everything, cause I'm just that cool

ANWAYS, this is Azul! She says hello! She is a Krait snake Gorgon (go look for pictures of her in my gallery if you want to learn more about her). I just love making curves, LINES ARE FOR BITCHES >:U LOL

PRODUCTION

Well I put up a WIP of the beginning stages in my WIP section, but basically Azul consist of a metal skeleton, and many layers of sculpty 3 clay (I use to major layers, the basic, then final, the basic is made up of colored clay that I don't need for the final layer, that way I don't run out of good clay since it's pretty expensive, and then the final layer is put on in a thin coat since all the structure and form is made in the base layer, the only parts on the body that are completely final are the head, arms, and if there are, legs, just becuase they're too fine to coat with another layer of clay). I probably had to bake this thing 15 times in the oven for each step since it's easier to add on when the last layer is hard

ADVANTAGES AND DISSADVANTAGES OF SCULPTY 3

ADVANTAGES: It never dries, it's a plastic clay, and no matter how long you keep it out, it will not dry until it's baked. It also holds it's shape extremely well, and is very acessible to anyone

DISADVANTAGES: Over time, the clay begins to get britle and fracture after cooking, making it rather fragile if it's too thin, it's rather pricey if you want to make big sculptures like this, and each color of clay has a different resistance, so it's hard to combine several colors together if you aren't willing to mold it for several hours

FAILURES AND SUCCESS OF THIS PIECE

FAILURES: Azul's face is rather fat, this is because I used blue clay, for some reason, other colored clays besides flesh tones are hard to form into a face scructure since the soften very fast, which makes it very hard to keep the face's shape when working with it, which is why her cheeks are so large

When I made her skeleton, I forgot to curve her spine, so she looks kinda thick, though she's supose to be very thin

Her tail is supose to be thicker, but since I couldn't afford to waste any more clay on the base layer, it came out as thick as it could get

Sculpty also chages color when baked, making it look different from it's soft form, so the blues aren't as bright and light as they should be

I got a little paint happy when I made her spots

I nearly killed my family when I lackered the hell out of her in our ventless basement

SUCCESS:

JUST FUCKING LOOK AT IT! That's a pretty damn good success right there

ALSO, THIS SCULPTURE IS DEDICATED TO

AND IS HIS LATE LATE BDAY GIFT, I thought this would be better then what I promised since you love fantesy X3 SO, IF EVER HAPPENS TO FIND ME, AND I HAVE THIS ON HAND, IT'S HIS! Cause god only knows what would happened to it if it was shipped X______x'

Anyways, I probably forgot to say something, and if you have any questions just ask :3

Enjoy!

Tinblitz Says:

Wow, i've seen work at my school that looks like a pile of crap in comparison to this (namely the pile of crap model made by me).
I shouldn't wory about her chubby cheeks much, they look more gaunt than chubby and the painting of the spots looks quite natural.

All in all a fan-tabby job.

gothicspork Says:

Friggin' awesome...

And shiny too

Tumult Says:

I CAN NOT FUCKIN BELIEVE ALL THE DETAIL YOU PUT IN THIS.
Each individual scale plate on the belly, all those tentacles, the facial features, FUCKING FINGERS.
