...Haha, I can explain, really. The first successful attempt I made at breeding in Emerald, for no real reason at all aside curiosity, was between my Breloom and a female Tropius. Naturally, by game canon, I just got another Tropius, but I mused what'd happen if crossbreeds happened.

Normally, I would put a lot more effort into a hybrid. I've done many in my life back when I only played the original Kanto-region games (hello, corrupted Red and Blue cartridges, hello Japanese Yellow), and they were more believable than this. However, I just like the idea of a Breloom with wings, and Tropius wings just seem to fit the bill.

Anyway, Arsolani is sort of my set nickname for Shroomish/Breloom at this point. The name comes from a fungus that we grow in Zoology lab to feed our Aphelenchus avenae nematodes. The fungus itself is called Rhizoctonia solani or R.solani for short (which we put on all our cultures). Biogeek strikes back, yo.
