Do I dream?
Do I dream a lover's dream?
Lost in fields of flowers and sun and rain
Wherein life springs, born anew
And the clouds come once again.
Upon great yews and birch and oak,
The silent willows that weep,
The song of birds and cry of lambs,
Young life is mine to keep.
Do I dream a young man's dream?
Of war and peace and love
Within my life, upon my soul
Upon wings of whitened dove.
Once again the tale of life
Like the clock that ticks and tocks
And counts the minutes, counts the hours
Until young life is locked.
Do I dream my dream again?
Within the clouds of sleep
And once again see war and peace,
The growth of vines that creep,
The trees that reach forever upwards,
Searching for endless sky.
Far above, I dream my dream.
Above the clouds I fly.

Like I said before, I like the flow this has. The rhythm is consistant. And...uh...I suck at writing about poetry. @.@
WildBlueSun Says:
This is the best sort of poetry, which makes no sense when taken as an individual line or two, but leaves you with a...feeling when you're done. Absolutely lovely. Favourited.

Hmm...I like it, very good.
Minstrel Ayreon Says:
Interesting...there's something almost old-fashioned about it though it uses very modern, simple vocabulary. Maybe it's the imagery or something that reminds me of the older poets...
LaFrenchie Says:
I like it is very nice.

I like this one very much, it really has the abstract feeling I'm trying to grasp myself^^, but I fail in that over and over again. I just have to fav this
