Once the sword wielded by a great necromancer god, now long sealed beneath his ancient city and guarded by a fearsome undead dragon in the instance any wayward adventurers foolishly wander into the wrathful god's abode seeking fame and fortune.

This was a request from someone I met in college town, affectionately referred to as Talon. He's running a D&D campaign of which I am a part of, and he asked me to draw the weapon of his main NPC, the necromancer god aforementioned in the stats above. I cranked this out in about a night. xD;

The hilt is that of a black dragon skull, and the runes on the blade read "Darklorn". I used Tolkien's Dwarven runes for the blade because that's how Talon requested it. (I made sure to make it look neat and tidy so they could be called Tolkien runes. 8D; )

Pardon all the blank space; I was trying to fit the drawing so it would print at full-size on an 8 1/2'x11" paper so it could be used as a flyer of sorts, so I had to rotate it so the thing wouldn't get cut off. I'm unable to add anything to the image at the moment, either (not even a signature D: ) since my tablet driver is currently on the fritz. It's been doing that a lot since I first got the tablet. :/ So yeah, once I nuke the driver again and reinstall it, I'm gonna re-upload the image so it at least has a signature on it. Which means... IF ANYBODY DOES ANYTHING FUNNY WITH MY DRAWING IN THE MEANTIME, I'M GONNA ROAST YOU ALIVE AND EAT YOU. Not like anyone would bother doing that anyway, but still...

Many thanks go to Talon for giving me permission to post this in my gallery; I wasn't sure if I should do so since the sword and its design are his. And no thanks go to my cat, who jumped on my keyboard and made me have to start submitting this thing all over again. That kinda put me in a bad mood.

Darkenfang, again, belongs to my friend Talon. (He isn't on SA as far as I know, so I can't link you to him. D: ) The drawing is mine. :)

P.S.: To those of you still waiting on sketch requests: I'm terribly sorry I haven't gotten them up for you yet. I have quite a few things on my hands at the moment that each require my individual attention. And like I've said, I don't like submitting crap, so I need to get things in order so I can give proper attention to them. Please be patient with me. -___-;
