House of evil chapter 3

Chapter:3 An Unexpected Event



Everyone went into the bedrooms Salazar showed them. Each room had a rug on the floor with a huge bed and red curtains . Even though the beds were huge, Salazar asked everyone to stay in separate rooms.
Chris: We’re all ok with that, Salazar, thanks for allowing us to stay.
Salazar: No problem at all, I haven’t had many visitors anyway.
Mike: Well I’m tired. I’m going to sleep you guys, good night.
Chrissy: Yeah I’m going too guys, see ya .
Everyone went into there rooms to sleep.

It grew dark and Sarah was still awake thinking about what has happened lately. She felt so very alone, so she got out of bed and walked out to see Chris. She proceeded into his room to see him lay there on his bed asleep.
Sarah: Wake up, wake up Chris.
Chris: Hm, Sarah, what is it?
Sarah: I felt lonely so I came to see you. I also have something to talk to you about.
Chris: What is it?
Sarah: Salazar creeps me out. There’s something I don’t like about him.
Chris: He’s a good guy. He brought us into his home, no questions asked and protected us from those things outside! He gave us food and a place to sleep! He helped us when we were in need! Sarah, I mean he looks scary from the burns on his face, but that’s no reason to judge him!
Sarah: Yeah, but why does he live here in the middle of nowhere?
Chris: I don’t know. We all want to get away from the world sometimes. Maybe Salazar chose to live secluded from society because society has mistreated him. Maybe, because of his burns.

Suddenly they both heard Chrissy scream from her room. They ran to the door to open it, but it was locked.
Chris: Why won’t this door open, God damn it!!!
They saw gas being pumped into the room as Chris and Sarah both struggled to open the door. Sarah then started to feel bad. A sickening feeling grew in her stomach as she fell to the floor.
Chris: No! Sarah get up, we got to get out of here!...We got to....
Chris then passed out right next to Sarah.

Sarah awoke with the sound of someone banging on a steel door. It was Barry trying to open the door in the room in which they awoke.
There was nothing inside the room but the dimming lights and a security camera on the wall watching them. A chill went down Sarah’s spine, when she realized someone was watching them. A T.V. also sat in front of them.
Sarah: You ok Chrissy? We heard you scream.
Chrissy: I’m ok. I screamed because of the gas coming out in my bedroom. Barry: Where are we?
Mike: I don’t know. But that T.V., what’s that all about. It seems odd that it would be the only thing here. So obviously someone wants us to turn it on.
Mike then walked up to the T.V. and turned it on revealing Salazar on the screen.
Salazar: Good morning.
