My half of an art trade with :icondwelian:

I love this character and I'm glad I got an opportunity to draw her, it gave me a chance to experiment with designing tack and that was fun and challenging. Trying to come up with tack that actually looks functional is not as easy as it seems!

First comment! Woot!
Anyways, nice pic. I like horses. I the color. ^^

kestral Says:

ooo I love the design it reminds me of a Companion from the Heralds stories.

Sgt Nelson Says:

looove the coloring.

skinnyvee Says:

What a beautiful equine, and the tack you've designed is very appropriate and pleasing. The anatomy of the legs really strikes me here, too. Wonderful.

A couple critiques: I think that more indication of shading on the saddle embellishment (saddle blanket? I'm not sure what to call that) would have done this well. In addition, I think that given the motion, the tassels ought well sway, like the mane and tail.

ShadowedSoul Says:

In addition to skinnyvee's comment, perhaps the stirrup would be swaying as well?
Your horse anatomy is amazing, and I love how you add in all the bone and muscling detail

AngelsWing Says:

The grace and delicate look you managed to keep, while still putting weight on its back and strength in its foot! Well done, well done i say!
