An Io moth we found at my brother's house. Beautiful little thing- or not so little. About three inches. Yes, that's my knee it's sitting on. Yes, it actually crawled there voluntarily... I tried to put it in the grass, but it liked me better, I guess.

youre lucky! thats an awesome photo. i wish it would have been at a more horizonal angle relative to the moth, or at some other point of view where you could better make out your knee, because it looks a little odd. i couldnt tell what the strange surface it was sitting on was until i read the description.
