Russell Parallax - 2007

A tweaked design of Russell Parallax.

Russell is a Ko Tengu, which bears a normal Utopian appearance but hides retractable wings and a special natural power. He holds the powers of reflection, which lets him make duplicates of himself made from living mirror, as well as lets him bear the appearance of anyone he sees. He can use the same mirror magic of his copies to create his primary weapon, the Mirror Scythe.

This Ko Tengu was the first documented victim of Dark Energy possession. Depressed and lonely from a miserable childhood, he was easily taken over by the intruding powers of Dark Damien, a dark version of his childhood caretaker. With a weak heart, he didn't fight the dark control. But then, another Ko Tengu came into his life...Terry Gato, who harnessed powers of lightning. She held strong feelings for him and stood by his side always, regardless of the circumstances. This began to touch Russell, who never had anyone truly care for him before. His feelings for Terry were affecting the Dark Energy's control from within.

Dark Damien did not like the goings-on, but felt strong enough from Russell's previous will to go out on his own. Before fleeing to spread darkness through Utopia alone, he took his own Shadow Scythe and swung it at Terry, killing her. Filled with mourning and regret, Russell became stronger with his newfound strength of heart. He would become an important ally in defeating Dark Damien...

Russell would still be very lonely and depressed with Terry's death, but future events would change his life forever...
