An Author Note!

Kayshie: Wow I haven’t wrote an author note for about the longest!!(xD) Cuz of stupid FF.Net’s no A/n shit..pfft so much for their motto ‘free your soul’ or what not... corporate scum bags! Anyway I’m really glad I started writing this story again!(In case you didn’t know I started this story in like 2003 and forgot all about it until 2005 and I started to think of a new plot and BAM Hold You Down came back to life!) I’m so into it and I think this is my longest story yet! (I’m up to chapter 18 and not even near half the damn story *sweat drop*) It’s fun writing stories about Yu-Gi-Oh! And even though the show is over and people are starting to lose interest because of that(which is stupid) I’m still in love with Yu-Gi-Oh! Forever!!! Soooo Nya I am the ultimate fangirl!! When I get rich and famous I’m buying all rights to it!!! Okay I’m getting ahead of myself () Anyway hmm I wrote this chapter sometime in the beginning of the school year. This is the part of the story when everything gets all serious and whatnot, I actually like to write dark things...even though I may seem like a more comical type person. I always wanted to write a story about people getting killed by someone..or thing...hmm...bwahahaha (looks evilly at the yugioh cast)

Chapter 8: Signs


Yami and Bakura let the car ‘automatically’ drive them back to the hotel. They stopped by a local McDonalds to buy some fries and burgers. Bakura asked them for a toaster but they just slammed the drive-in window in his face. Yami sighed while watching Bakura make a complete ass out himself.

“ASSHOLE! YOU KNOW YOU HAVE SOME STOP LYING!!” Bakura kept banging on the window but no one answered.

Yami decided to put the car back in auto before the employees called the cops and such. He sat in the car quietly as the car drove them away. Bakura, pigging out on some fries, looked over at him.

“Whuf’s Wong wif ou?” Bakura asked with a mouth full of fries.

“Oh...” Yami looked up at him as if he came out of a trance “nothing...”

Bakura swallow his food “Weren’t you hungry? You were crying about food on the plane and in the house! Now eat it before I-”

Right before he said that Yami handed the fries to him in his face. Yami held it to him waiting for Bakura to take it. Bakura looked at Yami for a minute, and then moved Yami’s hand away.

“I don’t want that shit!” Bakura slurped his soda loudly and Yami still stayed quiet. Bakura was starting to get pissed off at Yami’s silence.

“SAY SOMETHING!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG! LOOK, YOU ARE A STUPID ASS! HA I INSULTED YOU! SAY SOMETHING!!”

Yami looked up at Bakura “We’re here..”

“What?” Bakura looked around and saw they were at the beach again. The car had completely stopped.

“Thank you for riding the car of the future! Please ride again!” The car announced.

Yami quickly got out the car and started walking toward the house. Bakura caught up with him. “You better not tell anybody what happened!”

“What are you talking about???” Yami looked at him as though he were a complete idiot “WE HAVE TO TELL SOMEBODY!!”

“No! If we do they’ll think we’re both paranoid!!”

“So?”

“Plus if you tell, I’ll kill you!”

“Yeah...” Yami rolled his eyes and started walking up the stairs to the house. Bakura ran in front of him and blocked the way.

“And stop it with the depressed attitude! People will think something is up and plus if you tell Ryou...” Bakura sighed and then looked at him “He’ll make that weird face and start crying! So you better shut up! And don’t tell Yugi, because then we might as well tell Wheeler and Taylor and Deviln and...damn the whole Ra damned world!!!”

Yami stood there and thought for a minute then he put a big smile on his face “OKAY BAKU-CHAN! I WON’T TELL MOM’S THE WORD!!”

Bakura stood there not knowing whether he should run or smack him in the face “Yeah....”

Yami put his arm around Bakura’s neck and started to walk inside with him “WE’LL KEEP IT A SECRET! LIKE BEST FRIENDS DO!!”

“Okay now I’m getting scared!” Bakura choked out while he was in Yami’s grasp.

The two walked into the house. Yami still talking creepily prepish and Bakura resisting suicide.


“ALRIGHT THE FIRST ROUND OF JOEY’S CHICKEN GAME IS STARTIN’ NOW!!! FIRST UP, YUGI VS. SERENITY VS. TEA VS. TRISTEN!!! YAHOO!!!”

Everyone gave Joey the stupidist of looks while he stood in the middle of the water announcing the stupidly obvious.

“That was loserific.” Tea said as she crossed her arms.

“Oh please, Tea stop player hatin’! Anyway Get on top of your partner and let’s fight!”

The teams were Joey with Tristen, Ryou with Serenity, Yugi with Duke and Tea with Kaiba. Tristen easily got on top of Joey and sat on his shoulders. Ryou went under water as Serenity sat on his shoulders and when he got up he was blushing like crazy. Tea looked at Kaiba for a minute but then he kneeled down in the water and Tea climbed on the shoulders and tried to act cool. Duke and Yugi had the hardest time since Duke couldn’t swim he was afraid of getting water in his mouth and they eventually got into a position where they were ready.

“Alright...GO!”

Tristen and Yugi started to fight and so did Serenity and Tea.

“Yugi! You can’t beat me!” Tristen said cooly

“Ok watch this!” Yugi put all of his weight on knocking Tristen over but water got into Duke’s mouth.

“AHH I’M DROWNING!!” Duke started to run toward Ryou with Yugi still on his shoulders “RYOU SAVE ME!!!!!!!!!” He crashed right into the unsuspecting Ryou and Serenity and Yugi dropped in the water.

Tristen and Tea looked at their poor perfromance. But Tristen snapped back into the game and started to lunge toward Tea. But Kaiba quickly turned to the side and Joey dropped Tristen into the water. Tea and Kaiba were the last ones standing.

“We won!” Tea shouted happily and threw her arms in the air which caused Kaiba to lose his balance and he just threw her and saved him self. When Tea got up she didn’t even notice he did it for that reason.

Joey quickly arose from the water and pointed his finger at Kaiba and screamed “THAT’S CHEATING!”

Kaiba raised an eyebrow “Don’t be mad because you can never beat me....”

Joey growled at him “YEAH JUST WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT ROUND! YAH!” He swam back over to Tristen. Tea sweat dropped and Kaiba just sighed.

“Okay Duke this time you’ll be on my shoulders so your mouth won’t get wet.” Yugi told Duke as he nervously climbed on Yugi’s shoulders.

“I’m Sorry Yugi! I know I suck.” Duke admitted

Duke was kind of heavy so Yugi had to struggle for his balance “It’s...okay...” he said.

“THIS TIME I WON’T LET YOU DOWN!”

“Alright Ryou, your turn!” Serenity smiled as she kneeled down for Ryou to climb. “And this time don’t blush.”

“Sorry...I...um...” Ryou felt a little embarrassed.

‘SO CUTE’ Serenity thought and started to giggle.

When everyone had switched places they started to play again. It was Ryou vs. Duke vs. Kaiba vs. Joey. Yugi was having a hard time keeping his balance because Duke was still nervous even though he wasn’t in the water. He sat there for about 5 seconds until he started to panic. “AHH RYOU HELP!!”

“DUKE GET AWA-“ Just when Ryou said that Duke fell right on top of him and they both crashed into the water...again. Joey started laughing.

“Wow losers! That didn’t take any effort!”

“JOEY WATCH IT!” Tristen shouted from under him and Joey saw that Kaiba and Tea were coming at them.

Joey and Kaiba locked their hands together like sumo wrestlers and started pushing each other. Meanwhile Tristen felt like cheating so he slurped some water and tried to spit some at Tea. When Tea felt water from him she got pissed.

“EWE THAT’S FUCKEN GROSS TRISTEN!” Tea screamed angrily.

Tristen laughed “There’s no rule against that!”

Tea smiled evilly the she moved herself and Kaiba closer to Joey and Tristen then she started kicking the shit out of Tristen’s legs.

“OW TEA STOP!” Tristen whined as he started kicking back.

“There’s no rule against that!” Tea shot back sarcastically.

Joey and Kaiba were still trying to knock each other down but they were equally strong.

“Heh, I guess I underestimated you...” Kaiba smiled his famous evil smile.

Joey smiled the same “Same here..” Joey started laughing then looked down to see Tristen and Tea having a kicking party. Then something in the water caught his eye. At first he didn’t know what it was, until he looked closer and saw it was a mermaid like creature. But it looked like the Toon Red Archery
Girl...he then realized it was. The toon smiled and swam up to the surface and Joey let out a scream.

“OH MY GOD! DUEL MONSTER!!!” Joey grabbed onto Kaiba and they both fell into the water. Tea and Tristen moved back a bit and Yugi and the others came right over.

Joey and Kaiba came from underwater. Kaiba was pissed because he didn’t want to get his face or his hair wet. “What the fuck was that for??”

Joey swam behind Kaiba for protection and pointed in the water “LOOK!! IN THE WATER!! THERE WAS A DUEL MONSTER! PEGASUS’S MERMAID TOON!!”

Tea and Tristen looked in the water and saw nothing “Where?”

“THERE!! It was there...” Joey still pointed in the same spot

Yugi sighed “Joey, we went over this already after battle city...duel monsters CANNOT just come to life without magic.”

“I KNOW WHAT I SAW!!!”

“Looks like paranoia is contagious...” Kaiba said as he started walking back to shore. “I’m going back to the hotel now, no one follow me.... “

Everyone watched in silence as Kaiba walked on the beach and grab his towel and walk into the distance.

“Hey where’d that red car come from?” Duke asked pointing to the car that Yami and Bakura found.

“I dunno but it looks cool! I wanna ride it!” Serenity squealed

“HELLO! What about me!?!” Joey said trying to remind him of what he had seen

“What about you?” Tristen asked dryly. Joey growled and the crossed his arms.

“Now you know how Yami felt when everyone started to tease him!” Tea said “See! What goes around comes around!”

“What goes around comes around..shut up Tea! Since when did you start to care about Yami? I thought Bakura was your new man!” Joey started to laugh “Damn what did Yami ever do for you to start dating his worse enemy?”

There was a moment of silence for a while. Tea stood there and started to twitch, she was red as hell. Yugi knew that Tea was going to do something completely rash. Ryou and Duke started to swim away from them. Serenity stood there deciding if she should hit Joey or just leave it to Tea. Tristen started to laugh his ass off because he knew Joey was going to get fucked up.

“Tea your new theme song is “Back Like That”...” Joey started to sing “you don’t get ur man back like that...naw....”

Tea stood there still twitching and then she finally spoke “and your new theme song is...DROWN BITCH DROWN!” She jumped right on top of Joey and started to fight him for real.

“Tea, stop it! He was just playing!” Yugi tried to brake them up. “Tristen help!”

Tristen, still laughing, tried to get close but ended up getting a kick in the face “YO TEA!! CHILL!!”

“This is when I need my video camera...” Ryou sighed

“Ditto...” Duke agreed “But hey...ha they’re missing to coolest fight of the century.”

Tea and Joey were underwater fighting, Tea still trying to choke him but Joey kept trying to bite her so she could move her hands away. Tea was about to kick Joey until she saw what she least expected. The same monster Joey had just claimed to see was right behind him. Tea quickly tried to grab for him but Joey moved back thinking she was trying to hit him. Something made him turn around and he saw the toon. That’s when Tea took the chance to grab him and pull him and herself to shore.

Tristen and Yugi were waiting for them to come up. Tristen looked at his stopwatch and saw they’ve been under there for 45 seconds “Damn...they sure can hold their brea-“

Just when they said that the two came up grabbing each other in fear as they started to scream.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!”

“What??” Yugi asked anxiously

“Wow you guys made up mad fast.” Serenity said.

“JOEY WASN’T LYING!! THERE ARE MONSTERS IN THERE!!! FORGET THAT I’M GOING BACK TO THE HOTEL!!!” Tea started to run out of the water. Joey followed right behind her.

Duke, Ryou, Serenity, Yugi and Tristen just looked at each other. Then at Joey and Tea running for their lives. Then back at each other. “They’re paranoid....”


Bakura and Yami were sitting in the kitchen drinking juice. Bakura kept rocking his seat back and forth making sqeaking sounds that started to annoy Yami.

“Stop rocking your seat, you’re going to fall backward...” Yami said annoyed while sipping his orange juice.

“Shut up!” Bakura let out an extremely loud belch and then kept rocking faster on his chair.

“That wasn’t necessary...”

“Blah blah! I am so BORED! God, I wish Malik was here.” Bakura complained still rocking back and forth.

“Not me, you act more behaved when he’s not around you!” Yami blurted

Bakura took that to offense “Well you act more slow without Yugi around you! I mean you’re just as lost as a stray dog without him!”

“Oh please! If Ryou were to die right now, Ra forbid, you would not have any clue how to survive on your own, none the less survive!”

Bakura started to laugh “Hey I admit it! I DON’T know what to do with out Ryou that’s why I’m TRYING to be more...re..respec...no uh...”

Yami lifted an eyebrow “Responsible?”

“Responsible, yeah just like I said!” Bakura smiled, Yami sweat dropped. “Yeah that word, that’s why I don’t pop him in his mouth every time he tries to get smart because if I did he wouldn’t be able to breath and take care of me.”

Yami sipped more juice and said under his breath “Baby...”

Bakura didn’t hear...instead he kept rocking back in forth in his chair. Then Kaiba silently walked into the room. Yami looked up and waved to him. Bakura gave him a crazy look.

“Who are you waving at?”

“Me.” Kaiba’s cold voice shot suddenly, which made Bakura jump up and fall backwards off his chair.

Yami sighed “Just never listens!”

Bakura shot up quickly and started to yell “YOU SHUT UP!” Then he turned to Kaiba “AND YOU NEED TO STOP APPEARING OUT OF NOWHERE!”

Yami smiled “He didn’t he just walked in...”

Bakura turned to Yami with an evil face “DIDN’T I JUST SAY SHUT UP!!? ANYWAY!” he turned back to Kaiba “WHY ARE YOU WET FOR? WALKING AROUND ALL WET! WHAT IF I TRIP AND FALL?”

“Slip and fall?” Yami corrected him.

Bakura more pissed off turned slowly to Yami again “MAY YOU PLEASE SHUT UP?”

“See all you had to say was please...” Yami crossed his arms.

Bakura growled and turned back to Kaiba “What were we arguing about?”

“WE weren’t arguing, you were ranting and arguing with him.” Kaiba said plainly.

“Oh, but I-“ Bakura got cut off by screams and the front door slamming. All three of them looked at the kitchen entrance until they saw Tea and Joey, out of breath, run into the kitchen.

“OH MY GOD!”

“OH MY GOD!”

“WE JUST SAW!

“I..OH MY GOD!”

“IT WAS SO WEIRD!”

Tea and Joey were shouting at least 34 different things at the same time. They stood there for a couple minutes screaming until Tea finally got back into reality. She grabbed Joey by the arm and ran out the kitchen. Leaving Kaiba, Bakura and Yami confused. They all looked at each other for a minute, then Bakura said

“What were we arguing about, Kaiba?”

“Who knows...”



Tea pushed Joey into the bathroom and locked the door. Joey finally calmed down spoke up.

“TEA! WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL THEM?”

Tea crossed her arms “Can you stop yelling I’m right here!”

Joey took a seat on the toilet. “Sorry, but why didn’t we tell Yami?”

“Because he’s paranoid enough without us having to tell him we saw...you know what’s....in the beach water!”

Joey narrowed his eyes and smiled. “You just don’t want Bakura to think you’re crazy...”

Tea blushed and gave a ‘How-Dare-You’ look “What makes you think this is about Bakura? Just because he was standing there, please! I just...” Tea ran out of words. Which made Joey laugh more.

“Why are you laughing? You were just as capable to tell him then me! Oh I understand...” Tea gave Joey the same look “You just don’t want Kaiba to think you’re crazy because then...he’ll have some shit to talk on you!”

Joey stood up immediately “What makes you think this is about Kaiba?? Why? because he was staring at me like I was the one who was going to say something he can hold against me? I just..uh...?”

Tea started to mock Joey’s laugh. “Well how about we just keep this to ourselves? You know, just pretend we were joking around! So nobody thinks we’re-“

“-Paranoid?” Joey finished. Tea nodded. So the two calmly walked back into the kitchen. Where all three of them had sat down at the table drinking their beverages. When they entered, Bakura, Yami, and Kaiba looked up at them.

“HA WE GOT YOU! WE TOTALLY GOT THEM RIGHT, JOEY?” Tea said very loud and fast as she nudged Joey in the rib.

“YEAH!!! HA HA YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE LOOKS ON YOUR FACES!” Joey laughed loudly.

Bakura and Kaiba looked at each other, then at Yami who looked at Joey and Tea. “Are you guys alright?”

“NOTHING IS WRONG, YAMI!” Tea shouted defensively

“But I-“

“YEAH STOP BEING SO PARANOID!!” Joey crossed his arms “IT WAS A JOKE!”

Yami jumped up out of his chair and slammed his fist on the table. “I DIDN’T EVEN SAY THAT!!!!!!!”

There was a silence. All of them were shocked about Yami’s sudden outburst, even Yami himself. Bakura tried to hold his laughter. Kaiba set his coffee cup down. Tea took a step back and looked down at the ground. Joey felt guilty and was trying to apologize but no words came out. Yami let out a huge sigh.

“I’m sorry...oh damn I spilled my juice” Yami felt the juice spreading to his fist on the table.

“Pharaoh...What kind of juice were you drinking....” Bakura asked a little shocked at he stared at his fist.

“Orange wh-“ Yami looked down at his fist and was shocked. He lifted his hand up for them all to see. The juice was thick and red and dripping off his finger tips.

“OH SHIT YOU’RE BLEEDING!” Joey shouted as he pointed at Yami’s hand.

“I CAN’T BE! THE CUP DIDN’T BREAK! I DIDN’T SLAM MY FIST ON THE TABLE THAT HARD!” Yami was terrified at what he was seeing he started breathing heavy.

“ DO NOT PASS OUT! THAT’S WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO DO!” Bakura screamed trying to calm Yami down.

“WHO ARE THEY?” Kaiba stood up and asked “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?”

“IF WE KNEW THAT ONE KAIBA WE’D TELL YOU!” Tea said smartly.

Joey ran to Yami’s side “COME ON WE’LL JUST WASH IT OFF!”

“I CAN’T MOVE!” Yami yelled

“COME ON! YOU’RE GOING TO LET BLOOD SCARE YOU?” Kaiba shouted trying to convince Yami to snap out of it.

“I CAN’T MOVE! I SERIOUSLY CAN’T MOVE! I’M LIKE PARALYZED BUT NOT FROM FEAR!”

“FINE! WHEELER! BAKURA! HELP ME CARRY HIM TO THE SINK! GARDNER! TURN THE FAUCET ON!” Kaiba commanded every one. Kaiba, Joey and Bakura lifted Yami up and took him to the sink. Tea ran the water and started pouring dish detergent on his hands. Tea started scrubbing them together.

“IT’S NOT COMING OFF!” Tea yelled as a signal for help. Joey started to help scrub but nothing happened still. So Bakura decided to help and Kaiba finally gave in, and when they all started working together the blood easily slid off and Yami fell backwards a bit causing everyone else to fall too.

The 5 teens sat on the floor breathing kind of heavily and trying to wonder if that really just happened.

“So...what was that?” Joey asked still a little shocked

“Whatever it was, it should never do that again!” Kaiba answered breathlessly.

“But where did it come from?” Tea asked, nobody had an answer. Yami got up and walked to the table. All he saw was an empty cup and orange juice spilled all over the table.

“It doesn’t matter Tea, we’re probably just going to ignore it anyway and hope to Ra nothing like that happens again.” Yami said a little coldly.

Everyone got up and started to help clean up the mess and rearrange the tables and chairs back together.

“Well I’m about to take a nap, so nobody ever mentioned this happened, right?” Kaiba asked, he stood there waiting for approval.

“Right!” Bakura answered for everyone. With that Kaiba walked down the hallway. When Kaiba was out of hearing distance Yami spoke up

“Bakura! What? WE HAVE TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS!” Yami yelled.

“No we don’t!” Joey said, all three looked at him. “I mean it was probably just our minds playing tricks on us!”

“Or...this house is a haunted death trap!” Tea said tilting her head to side a bit and smiling big.

“Yes I agree!” Yami said, he was about to give a good argument until Ryou, Tristen, Duke, Serenity and Yugi walked in.

“Agree about what?” Yugi asked reaching into the refrigerator.

“AGREE ABOUT HOW NOISY YOU ARE YUGI!” Bakura yelled in his face.

Yami pulled Bakura back from Yugi “DON’T YELL AT HIM!”

“ARG. THIS IS WHAT PISSES ME OFF! I DON’T NEED YOU TO DEFEND ME YAMI! GOD, FORGET IT!” Yugi slammed the refrigerator door and stomped away as Serenity and Tristen and Ryou cleared his path.

Yami was giving the most stupidist look in his life, and everyone just stared at him. “Okay...what did I do...YUGI WAIT!!” Yami started to run after Yugi and everyone just looked at each other.

“Well um...who wants to play Monopoly?” Duke asked stupidly and everyone sweat dropped.
