The internet
I personally find one factor of the internet very interesting.
The anonymity.
In a place where the writers are anonymous, nobody is discriminated against for anything but how they think. On the internet it's revealed who are the real geniuses, the real idiots, and those caught in the middle, aspiring to be either.
On the internet, nobody judges you by anything, but who you as a person, are. On the internet there is no race, no social class, no strength, no looks. Only thoughts and ideas, skill and application of it, and all of it, is free.
On the internet, ideas aren't a dime a dozen. They're a penny a pentillion. Best of all, each and every one is subject to no personal bias whatsoever.

I know exactly what you mean. I actually realized all this when I joined MySpace. I have alot more people on my friends list than i actually talk to in the real world! And I actually know the people in person!
