Feathered wings of soaring flame

ALRIGHTY! Been working on FireFeather's design, and this is what I think I'll keep. Originally intended to be a dragon/Phoenix hybrid, I'm thinking of makeing her simply a Fire Bird with this being my own design. Beaks are hard to draw I like this face better. Also I think she's going to be renamed as MatchFeather... just sounds cooler than the oh-so-obvious fire feather, no?

Anyway... I know its a crappy lineart... what can I say I like sketches better, even if they are messier And I want people to know that I made all this up on my own. I've never really drawin feathers or fire,
so I know that I know I got a lot wrong, but I like this. And what the heck; might as well design a character that challenges me. My old avatar used to be a blue cat... She no longer is due to some personal issues, but my point is, I already know how to draw cats I shy away from bird-type characters, and most of what I incorperated into her design are things I wouldn't normally draw. If you're going to start over, might as well start over in a direction you've never been before right?
