For the Clock Crew's Foto Fandango. This time we had to take a photograph that depicts the Beauty of Change - a topic that was completely open to interpretation.
The original photograph taken was far too big to be seen, and I felt that the areas surrounding the main focus were irrelevant. Because of these reasons, I have cropped it to produce this entry.
I chose to complement this theme with the above photograph because the main changes that are taking place are inside the egg itself, therefore creating the almost ironic sense that this 'beauty' cannot be seen - the shell of the egg acts as a shield to the eyes.
With this photograph, I wanted to depict a visual changing of state as well, which is one reason why the majority of the photograph consists of boiling water. The other reason is that it shows what is causing the egg's changes, thereby capturing this in mid-process (not at the start, or the end).
EDIT: Also, at the time I wanted to draw something in that space - maybe a little boat.
Overall I feel that this is a great interpretation of the theme, and certainly one of my better photographs overall.
