Cycles 2

This piece was, like Dreams, intended to evoke images drawn upon a surface other than canvas - in this case, the textured ochre background was intended to look like animal hide. In person, it's easier to see this, as it's stretched out at the corners and not mounted on a frame, so it bends in towards the middle like a drying animal skin might.

The colors and figures are meant to evoke ideas of rock art and primitive styles.
