This is absolutely incredible, despite it only being a sort of concept. It's easy to envision myself in that scene-- the way you've depicted it makes me really feel the tension and flutter of finding a creature like this alone in the woods. I love the focused stare. I have a feeling I should watch you, haha.
Wow...what a regal, majestic animal, like a nature spirit come to life.
I like how you've controlled the focusing in this image...while it's not quite true to life--for instance, the leaves being so much more focused than the trunks--the effect it has is wonderful: it forces the eye to go exactly where you want it to go. It's interesting in that you cause a person to take two different looks at the drawing: once at the foliage, and then another one at the stag (and as one looks at the stag, the detail in the leaves seems from the viewer's point of view to fade). I think that's an unorthodox, but really neat effect!
this is very good. Almost reminds me of Narnia when they're chasing the white stag at the end of the story. The only thing that bothers me is it seems like the deer is floating.
