Bitterness of Mortality

(Sorry - just reposting all my deviations. Comments are not required if you have already posted - otherwise it's just annoying for you.)

This was meant to be one of my best drawings, and it turned out to be one of my worst Done with Open Canvas 4.6 PLUS ( I love doing that - showing off which version I've got FOR FREE 8D .. >_> But I won't mention anything here incase I get banned again :lol:)

I was watching the scene in the Two Towers where Elrond describes what it would be like for Arwen to live to the end in darkness and depression due to Aragorn's foretold death, and came up with this.

Here Arwen looks a bit weird and screwed up Sorry die hard Arwen fans!! :: Just I've never drawn anime before and this was originally an anime picture not an Arwen one. It was going to be a practise sheet for anime and it just turned out like this.

Anyway as you can see she's in complete darkness except the elvish light around her which shows her innocence and youth still. The darkness on her clothes is to show how she's fading away, although when I was using the burn tool I think I overdid it

But at the same time I didn't want her to look beautiful beautiful otherwise it wouldn't quite capture the effect of her drowning in the darkness.

EDIT: I thought Arwen's hair was dark brown, and light brown in some scenes?
