Even if I wasn't already a huge Chrono Trigger fan and Magus fanboy, I would have to say that this pic is f-ing sweet! The way you shaded and light-sourced Magus, all the little visual aspects you put into his clothing, your attention to detail, and that cool energy cloud at his fingertips all make this pic a definite win.
Did I mention how cool that shadow-magic energy cloud is?
The only thing that throws it off a bit is the belt... since it's not part of his original costume. I'm pretty sure he wore something called a codpiece, AKA "crotch armor".
Oops, I forgot to comment! Faves do not replace comments! Anyway...
I love Magus, as do a lot of other people, and you did a great job of rendering him. Lighting is simple and fluid, the folds in the cloak are delicious, and the special effects are spot on. I think maaaybe his ear's a little too far back, but that's a simple anatomical nitpick that I struggle with occasionally too. (also, you didn't make him look like the drow version of Legolas, which I am guilty of... rofl.)

*grins the Alucard grin* This is dang awesome!
Shading and lighting is top-notch, and it happens to be my favorite character from my favorite game.
