Aside from a few missing things here and there and the need to rework his textures, this model's torso is pretty much finished.
The model was originally going to be a strogg like character, but that soon changed to a mix of Strogg/UT3 sort of styling. It's sort of my own style as well I guess... As for the strange lighting, I wanted to give this an Unreal Engine 3 PR render like feel to it with the blue light in the background.
This model was rendered in-game (so to speak) using the C4 Game Engine.

7 Textures Used (color + normal + specular on shoulder pads and body, just a normal map on the helmet)
Next up: arms, legs, and something to go on his back.
