Yes, this is a borrowed pose from a manga. It is what happens when you have absolutely no insparation and you happen to pick up a manga one day, just hoping to at least do something constructive with yourself.
If somebody takes offense to this, and they will, inform me and I will remove if it really bothers you.

Well enough about me, I do like this piece. I wish I could do something like that. Something with perspective, something that has a fist or leg coming at you, and that body part would be big but the rest be smaller. I only did that once, but it wasn't an actual fighting pose, and it was with a reference.
You did the ears and horn right, they would deffinately be smaller than the foot, since they are further behind.
I'm curious though, what kind of a creature is he? Like.. Oh whats that thing called. A foal.. fowl? Nah... Well maybe.
Bah, I can't remember. >: But I do like it, very nice. ^.^
