The colourtheme is perfectly for this kind of mood. It's not entirely black and white it holds a flicker of hope in the back. Wonderful work on the shading too :)

The top hairline doesn't really look too realistic in my opinion, but the rest of it is stunning. The eyes especially capture lots of emotion.
