EDIT: Alright, it's finished, and I made the prints at Kinko's (I was so confused and the people there were not very helpful! But I got what I wanted done, and it was waaaay cheaper than I thought it would be!), and I am excited and anxious for Mother's day. I hope that she'll stop saying I'm wasting my time.

I made her head smaller and fiddled with the colors a bit, then added a crazy scrolly thing in the background, lol. I'm so lame.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

I really like this~ It reminds me of a tarot card for some reason. O.o You might try a more sepia overtone on it, if you have Photoshop there's a thing where you can adjust the hues to make it more yellowybrownish which seems the theme of this piece. It might help, you can always fool around with it til you get it how you want. :)

Megara Says:

wow so gracious,i love it,the colors are so warm

BlackWidowQueen Says:

*laughs* I'm afraid I don't know the answers to those questions, but I'm sure someone will.

This is very, very beautiful though. I'm sure your mother will love it.

Pink Lady Says:

Oh wow. This is just....Great. The dress and the flower it makes it romantic, dreamy I'm not sure exactly what is the appropriate word, but it amazing

thePatches Says:

I just love all the muted colors and gingerbread decor of it all!!

You should be able to print it at Kinkos, that's where I get myse stuff printed. But make sure it's at least 300DPI, PDF preferably since it's a definite yes on them opening it and they won't charge you mosr for it being another program. Wou also won't get the insane quality loss that is JPEg. Tiff would work too for print, as log as it's high DPI.

To get algowy old look you might try copying the whole thing onto a new layer, slightly burring that new layer then playing with layer modes and opacity for your new layer. I find a 40% opacity with a screen or overlay or multiply layer to make things look older/brighter sometimes ^^

Also, as far as critique, he head seems mighty large when compared to her hands the the rest of her body, since her shoulders width seems small and her hands are much smaller than her face

This is fantastic. I love the colors sooo much! The emotion is lovely, calm and peaceful. Oracle is such a graceful word, it's a great title to represent this. You did a great job with her hair and her instrument. Above all I love the flowers and the patterened windows. This maks me htink of greek history... Amazing job hon. !!

Catleen Says:

!!! I'm such a sucker for things in Mucha style, you did him great justice! Lovely lovely work, the cloth folds and patterning has to be my favourite. =D Did she like it? Pfft, waste of your time? I hope this changed her mind as well.
