This was sort of a rushed concept for a space-use weapon intended to be issued to space boarding parties. It was decided such a weapon would use rocket bullets, similar to those of the Gyrojet,as recoil was nonexistant, making firing the rounds in zero gravity more pleasant. I decided such a weapon would be best for use in the vacuum of space, due to the ballistics of the round, where close combat would be a disadvantage and long ranges would have more excellent ballistic capabilities.

So, the weapon is supposed to be small so that it can be carried across the chest or back of the user; out of the way, but easy to access. This, of course, made me immediately think of the P90.

The firing action is exceedingly simple, consisting of very few moving parts, and requiring only a firing pin. Vents to redirect gases are positioned down the length of the barrel. Otherwise, it's a P90.

I realized that changing such a magazine would be difficult, as it was so large. Accomidations have been made for the use of normal box magazines, fed bullpup style below the receiver.

The rocket rounds are 15mm, which is almost 3mm larger than a .50 cal round. This is mostly to make the rounds more effective, as smaller calibers produce less satisfactory results. The downside is that the round is very large, and this limits ammo capacity. Nonetheless, it is a very effective weapon in space, synchronizing shots with a micro computer stored in the bit in front of the foregrip.

The weapon is bright red. A black gun would be much harder to see in space, which would serve to be of inconvenience to the user in many situations, so a bright color was used to increase visibility.
