My final project for my Intermediate Illustration class. The assignment was to do two posters (Because doing one is easy; doing two is hard.) around some kind of sociopolitical issue. I decided to do a pair of spot editorial cartoon illustrations concerning my fine nation's political state.
On the left, we have the Despicable Democrat.
On the right, we have the Reprehensible Republican.
America is so polarized right now between the furthest extremities of the two parties. They do have one thing in common: not using one's own brain.

This... might be one of my favorite things I've seen in a long time from anybody. Mostly because it doesn't pick a side. WOW! Even the placement of the anti-cigarette next to the legalization of marijuana sticker on the bumper is just... well thought out and clever.

I honestly think the two major parties are the same. There's so little difference between actual policy it's a moot point to even consider it.
Interestingly the colours used to represent left and right are the opposite to what we use here

I LOVE the hypocrisy in the Democrat character: "Fight the Caucasian plague" when the character at least appears to be Caucasian, "My SERVANTS' cars are hybrids" while driving a gas guzzler AND practically proclaiming socialism. And is it me, or is she driving under the influence??
The Republicans look gross, low-class, and wasteful--I kinda wish there'd been an opportunity to see more of their hypocrisy hidden behind all those rolls of fat, but I guess in some ways, the Republicans don't make any pretense whereas the Democrats try to hide it...and both are far from perfect.

I love how you depict each sides stupidity , and the subtleness of it just cracks you up. I love the color usages, and the shading I'd love to see this poster on walls all around america. XP
