This is how some pastors may feel, whenever they can't spread the word.

OMG RELIGIOUS POEM FROM RANDI?

No, it's whatever you make it out to be.

Edit: Oh my, a featured art award? ThePatches, you are my new hero. Thank you for this honor.

I'm not a religious person by any means, but the lines of this poem struck me beautifully. The simple metaphors and language lend themselves well to the feeling of it all. An upstanding work of short free-verse.

I liek that you do free-form poetry, it's rare on Sheezy haha.

It's a beautiful work too.

"But could not deliver the message." - Quite a powerful line.

Minstrel Ayreon Says:

This is a really thought-provoking poem and a feeling I am very familiar with. I'm no pastor, but I can be very shy--all the more so because of the damage that some have done by being obnoxious in Jesus' name. That really complicates matters when I feel like I need to speak up.

Thanks for getting it down on paper, and congrats on the Featured Art.

My gods, this is awesome. D;
I'm not usually a fan of free-form, but this was genious. I agree with Patches in all ways, and that last line just strikes at you so powerfully.

I feel like digging up my old self-made poetry book now. (I vote 5-Best)

I agree with ThePatches, word for word.
