yuki kun!!! i just picked up volume five of the fruits basket manga, and it's great, of course.
anyway, i actually did a background for this one. w00t! actually, i used brushes that i downloaded from here to do the backgrounds [and the dandelion], so it was fairly easy. but i drew the moon meself.
for yuki's yukata, i did a search for kimono fabric on the web and found a bunch of nice patterns. i put those pics in photoshop, desaturated them, and made them into patterns, so i could use them to fill in his clothing. then i just used the brush in screen mode to tint it.
overall, i'm not ecstatic about how this came out, but it's a start. i tried new techniques, and that was fun. must...learn...more.
i also decided not to put borders on these last couple of deviations. neither of them looked good with border.
