Esca gasped for breath as Itachi slowly tightened his grip on her neck. The team of shinobi surrounded him and his three other accomplices who all had hats on hiding their identity. Esca tried to scream run but she couldn't even get out a syllable.
"ITACHI LET HER GO!" Sasuke shouted as he growled at Itachi.
"Ahh You like this little mouse don't you Sasuke, Is this just another one who's heart you like to play with. Come on little Kitty, come and get your tasty little treat before I eat it all up myself," Itachi's friend said as he took of his hat. Pointy teeth that belonged to a blue face with gills.
"Kisame!" Haruka said covering her mouth. Esca struggled around in Itachi's hands and kicked him in the side. Itachi flinched in pain and Esca was able to squirm out of his hands and fall to the ground.
"I TOLD YOU IDIOTS NOT TO FOLLOW ME!" Esca shouted and caused everyone to flinch as she stood up the armor surrounding her skin. Itachi didn't flinch but instead a sick grin crossed his face as he looked at her.
"I hear rumors but I never thought they where true, oh wow guys show your respect where in HER presence," Itachi said getting down on one knee. The others in a mock and mentally torturing way did the same.
"STOP IT STOP IT!" Esca shouted covering her ears as the all said things suggesting who she was. She just kept crying causing her anger to increase and the armor to start to shred her pajamas as it made it's way creeping up her body.
"Esca what's wrong!" Kakashi asked as he went and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"DON'T TOUCH ME MORTAL!" She screamed in a voice that was truly Esca's she turned around with such a look in her eyes that Kakashi backed away...afraid.
"See you're beginning to accept it, join us Esca they'll never understand you like we could. We know what you're going through we know what it's like to have that lust for power. You can't deny it, you want it you feel it running through your veins. You know that I can help you there," Itachi said seductively dangling one arm around her and whispering in her ear.
Suddenly there was a flying foot crashed into his face and it sent Itachi flying into a wall. Sasuke took his place angry and panting the curse mark slowly spreading. He stood up straight as he went and walked over to Itachi and stood there his eyes boring into his skin.
"If you ever touch her again you Bastard I will make every part of your body scream in pain till I let you die," Sasuke said and Itachi just smirked as he sat up.
"Foolish little brother it's your little girlfriend's choice and you should show her some more respect," Itachi said smirking as he sent a painful punch into Sasuke's gut unexpectedly. "How can you protect her if you can't even protect yourself."
The two other people ripped of their hats revealing themselves to be Deidara and Tobi. They all went and attacked the gang as Esca just overwhelmed by it all slowly fell to the ground.
'Do you want to help them?' Asked the voice of Escaflowne.
'Yes, Yes I want to help them, I would so anything,' Esca cried in her head and she felt Escaflowne for the first time be kind.
'There's one way you can help, submit to becoming the goddess of war. You've been fighting it and if you keep doing that you will die, if you submit to the power you appearance will be altered but at this point it's your only choice,' the voice reminded her. Esca sat there she was extremely scared, yet she wished she would have more time to think about what could happen.
'This might be my only chance to stop this stupid fight, I might have to make a few sacrifices but that's what being a ninja is all about. I shall sacrifice my own well being for the sake of the others. From now on that shall be my nindo way,' Esca said to her self.
Esca nodded and she sat there as a white light slowly wrapped its way around her body.
"FOOLISH LITTLE BRO-" Itachi yelled but he was soon cut off.
"That will be enough."
