i helped out the 5-3 in art class today. they were doing watercolours of sakura. when they were done, they were allowed to draw a still life of either a teapot or flowers. i joined the teapot kids cause they were kind of lacking company.
i then drew the kid behind the teapot. i was going to draw the other kids but ran out of time.
it's been so long since i used these damn things. but this day simoltaniously reminded me why i loved and hated art class. love: being able to draw for an hour without interuption. hate: having someone tell me i'm 'not done' with something yet.
when i saw the art teacher doing that it was SUDDEN FLASHBACKS D:

This is really cool, I've never seen you do this type of art before. The tea pot is really pretty, but I love the way you drew the kid.

Very Pretty!
You managed to keep it looking deceptively simple but pack it with detail.
Oh and would I correct in guessing that you signed your name in Kanji in that photoshopped pink corner patch?

Awesome job! The kid looks adorable X3

oh man this is really nice.
love the kid, his slouch, and his hands. he's looking pretty intent over there.

i have no real reason why, but i adore this.

WHY ARE YOU DRAWING THAT ANIMES WHEN YOU CAN DO THIS GREAT PICK-TURE????
no seriously though I really like this. The detail is very nice and it makes good use of the original color of the page. CRITIQUE TIME the bottom of the teapot looks a tad uneven and the paper the kid is working on is easily overlookable (which could be fixed by adding the same highlights to it as the rest of the piece.) CONSIDERING YOU HARDLY EVER USE THIS MEDIUM THOUGH it's very good.
/r/ MOAR.

Man, he looks bored. It's a nice teapot though.

The flower motif on the teapot came out well and you sorta got some of its glossiness. Not much in the way of light or color came out in the rest of the picture. But still better than I can do. Were you sitting around a table with the teapot in the center?
