im not sure how i feel about this one. i've been experimenting with DnB alot lately (as a result of listening to this huge mix of Pendulum songs ;D). i'm not having a whole lot of luck, but of the few attempts this is the one that came out a little bit ok.....a little bit. that and i felt bad about not uploading anything in a while :p

if you guys that do have any tips on how to improve this by all means, lay it on me :p

Sounds good! Love the melodies and the bass. pretty exciting. Pretty good of the pendulum side. I can hear it!

2key Says:

nice track, man... I like the bass line a lot. Maybe pendulum is not the right type for you though...try and find some 'Dom & Roland'... might fit your taste more... sounds good thouogh. Try layer hits on top of the drum hits. and I just recently found that multiband-compression helps a lot on drums.

Try finding mixes at www.dnb-sets.de
totally wicked site, and you get free music... ^^
Listen to the 2nd drums on 'choke'(my newest upload)... If you like that kind, I'll send you the drum samples and MIDI, if you want, to experiment a bit? :)

IvanEther Says:

Okay... I really don't wanna be blunt like this... but your drum mastering sucks... Everything. I'm not trying to be harsh or anything. It's just something you should work on. It's all mashed and crushed together and theres no real punch to them. EQ's are nice... Free Filters are too. and Multi-Band compressors are nice too. the trick to them is to lower the inbound so it's all nice and even then max out the outbound.

Celtic Twilight Says:

Fast and exciting piece, I loved the bass.

One thing I liked less though, like IvanEther said, the drums. They feel unreal, too... something. They don't feel alive, they have no depth, no breath.

Minstrel Ayreon Says:

Hm...it had a good beat and bass riff, and as a piece the flow was pretty good, but I'm afraid I'm having trouble with trebles. (Sorry, I'm a big geek and couldn't resist the pun.) I'm not exactly sure what's going on, but it almost feels like the bass riff is getting drowned out with a crashing of cymbals that are mainly in the high range. I imagine others' feedback might be more precise, or might be able to explain better what's going on, but I think a different mixing technique might help.

GearZero Says:

Ah don't listen to them. The beats tight. But as Minstrel said, somethings up with the treble.
It gets really distorted. But that's about it, the song itself is fine.

WCP Says:

Haha, toying with new synths? Know how ya feel

I could actually hear this in Twisted Metal...

elle Says:

You know what I thought of as this track was playing while I was 'net cruizing?

A city full of manevolent robots.

Rainbow4PLUR Says:

hehe totaly awsome!

DnB makes me a very happy puppy.
