Well, first of all I created the background, using only two filter effects. Then I cropped, flipped and pasted the photo onto the image and lowered its opacity. Next I smudged it so you couldn't see the difference in colour. All I did for the background text was copy and paste some lines of verse I made up in a small font, with low opacity. And lastly, I added the front text and used the 'old photo' Script-Fu (a feature in GIMP, I think it's rather like an action in photoshop) to get that fuzzy sepia tone...Hehehe, I wouldn't really call it a photomanipulation, just a doodle thing- can't help but love freeware :)
