... What? Dmetri looked up at Evan, confused. Had he heard what he thought he had?
Evan's face had completely changed... without changing. His expression physically hadn't changed much at all... He was still smiling, yes, but all the shine from his eyes had left. The smile was... cold? That was how Dmetri thought of it. It was the only way he could put how he felt in words.
"Excuse me?" Dmetri said. "What did you just say?"
"I said good," Evan repeated with a smug smile spread across his face. Ah, the smile had changed now!
