More from the acrylics front, again. This time the little locust child had a bad dream of a scary creature with a huge eye and claws.
I made the mistake of buying a cheap block of aquarell paper, which is much too thin and light to deal well with acrylics. As a result, this painting was much more annoying than it should have been. It started out with nothing really exciting, continued to be drab and ill-defined. It only really came around when I put in the details of the locusts and particularly the shadows. I'd forgotten them in the beginning, and everything seemed extremely flat and listless. The way it is now, I think it's actually a pretty okay painting.

I like the looks of this one, really classy and cute at the same time. It sort of reminds me when I went to my parents' room to sleep when I was a toddler.
This has a very old school art-like feel and I like the looks of the style used here.

great concept; this piece is an oasis in what has been a barren desert for so long.
