...not even a dog.

Lazy butt production proudly presents "Artist gone wild".
Found out how to color fast in gradientshading style using only the lasso tool and the gradienttool.

Ouh, sorry, more emotional art from me. Yesterday I browsed trough dA and found someone who drew a group picture with her fellow wolfartists. And I just thought how great it would be to be one of them. I see so many artists here on dA, some of them better than me, some of them not as good as me. And I found out that it often doesn´t depend on how good their artistic abilities are most artist get favs when they draw something that most people just like. Like fanart. So I saw artists who have extraordinary artistic abilities and they get only a few favs because they don´t draw "mainstream". Other artists, just beginners, draw some fanart and get over 250 favs. And often it´s because they draw wolves. Sometimes it's really frustrating, especially when you spent hours and hours on a piece and no one really takes a look.

Yes, I hate him. I hate Yedaji for geing who he is. I hate him for being just a dog. I searched long for an own character. Everyone has one and say that it really represents them self. Yeah, and he represents me. I know it, but I still hate him. And he never let me draw him. But this time I got him. Muahaha!!

And, no he didn´t kill a wolf. It´s just symbolic.

And sorry for being so frustrated. I finished this pic after having an accident with PS and a commission.

I really agree with what you put in the descripiton, which is why I left dA.. But I realise that the problem is of the same magnitude here on Sheezy, so it doesnt even matter.

But I like how you drew the fur. And the shading style is really fantastic.

Aw. I'm sorry about that!

oh hun...*huggles* hey, i'll do some fanart for you, to bring attention to ur gallery. that's messed up that people overlook your art, it's ALL very amazing!
i'd have to say that one of my fav things about your art is how everything has a very prominent feeling, they each express themselves in their own way. *hugs* don't worry, things'll look up, you'll see! *hugs again*

PixleRelish Says:

I really like the composition of the piece, and the coloring on the wolf's fur.

Quicksilver Hybrid Says:

To be completely and utterly honest my dear, I can't see how anyone -would- overlook your art. You're incredibly talented and you use such a difficult media. It takes very much skill and patience to master digital art, something that you do flawlessly. I'm afraid that I know exactly how you feel here. I myself tend to be a more web-design/graphic oriented artist just because a lot of times traditional and digital art becomes a problem for me.

Yedaji appears more wolven, though. Well, at least to anyone who doesn't know the obvious differences between the two. I'm sure he's been mistaken at least once, hm?

My point being this: Whatever style you currently have, you've obviously worked incredibly hard to develop. Take pride in the skills that you've aquired. Regardless of the amounts of comments, watches, and favs you will recieve, you will always have your skills. And they will always be improving.

I always had to tell myself this, I still do: Artists don't gain fame and recognition in mere days. It takes a while for art to circulate and reach its appreciators. Just be patient and keep pressing on; you won't be alone through your journeys. All of your current fans and supporters, including myself, will be behind you all the way.

Best of luck, my friend.
