Cried Tears -Part 1-

Ivy's head hurt. "Why must these stupid headaches always get to me." She asked herself quietly. She groaned rubbing her forehead.

"I wouldn't know." Came a deep voice behind her. Ivy whirled around, snarling.

"Koga I knew it was you by your pathetic thing you call a voice." She scoffed, glaring at him. Koga chuckled, trying to sound happy, but quite hurt.

"Oh really, Ivy. If you knew it was me...then why didn't you kiss me when you turned around?" He asked with a childish grin. Ivy snarled at him.

"Why would I do that?" She snapped, shaking her head in ignorance. Koga stared.

Whatever, she can act that way if she must. He thought, looking at his feet.

"Let's go then, Ivy. Those amulet pieces won't collect themselves. Especially if we are just standing here throwing insults at each other." He pointed out grabbing Ivy's hand.

A loud smack was heard around the forest, it made all the animals and demons turn to stare and laugh.

"Ouch!" Koga cried. "What the hell was that for?" He rubbed his cheek soothingly.

"Don't touch me!" Ivy said. She was lying. She knew she didn't mind she kinda enjoyed it. But deep down, something told her it was wrong.

"Koga! Koga, I found one!" Ivy yelled, jumping up and down a top a rock a little farther off from Koga. She lost her footing on the moss underfoot and fell off. She quickly climbed back up and sprung into the air again.

Koga's eyes darted back and forth as he raced towards where Ivy stood. His wolf fur boots clunked softly on the ground as he ran. Ivy watched in longing. His brown hair, in the tightly bound ponytail, swayed in the wind.

Wow. Ivy thought. He looks amazing. Ivy's eyes gleamed with excitement, while watching the young Wolf Demon run gracefully towards her.

Koga watched Ivy stop jumping and stand quite still, staring at him as he ran. He shifted nervously and started to sweat. Which made his shirt stick to his skin.

"Ivy, where is it?" He asked as he approached her. He reached into his pack and pulled out a pouch, he pulled a glossy silk woven cloth out of it. "Put it in here." He ordered.

Ivy looked questioningly at the pouch and the cloth. But she did not argue and placed the Sakura Glass carefully in Koga's hand.

Koga tucked the cloth into the pouch, gently and handed it to Ivy. Ivy stared into his eyes, searching for something. She found nothing.

He handed the pouch to Ivy.

"Here, take this. I would probably lose it anyway. Just-." He paused, putting his hand on Ivy's cheek. "Don't lose it, take care of it. I am trusting you." Ivy blushed and nodded.

"Thank you Koga, I am grateful-that you trust me." Ivy's eyes shimmered gold in the sun as she stared at Koga.

Ivy opened her eyes slowly and looked up to see Koga leaning over her. She jumped up knocking her head on his. They both rubbed their foreheads and Koga spoke.

"Get up, get up. I know where another piece is!" He whispered, moving close to her face and rubbing his cheek on hers.

"Wha-where is the shard?" She gasped jolting completely awake. She looked around questioningly.

Koga looked to the horizon and Ivy followed his gaze. Ivy saw the small glimmer of a shard.

Quicker than she expected Koga was off towards the amulet's shine. He was running faster that Ivy could ever hope to run. She slowed to a stop, panting for breath.

"Koga! Please wait for me." Ivy called breathlessly after the cloud of dust. A whirlwind, a small one at that, raced around the corner towards her.

Good, he came back for me. She thought joyously. He stopped in front of her and picked her up off of her feet and again sped off.

It was midday when they reached the place of the shard. Koga was quite tired and Ivy was petrified, from going so fast in Koga's arms.

"K-Koga, I sense the glass, it-it's strong." She stuttered. "It's there!" She pointed. "A top the head of that Scorpion Demon."

Too late. Ivy had already been set gently on the ground and Koga had sped off in the direction of the demon and the Sakura Glass.

He raced up the poisonous miasma tail onto its back. The tail flashed past Koga's face, barely missing his nose. He growled and shown his teeth.

"I'm not gonna' die to a no-good demon like you." He wrenched. The scorpion quickly reacted to the insult by swinging his tail again and stating himself.

"How dare you insult the Great Scorpion Demon." It declared angrily.

"You don't look so big and great to me!" Koga jeered. The demon's eyes widened.

"You pay for your ignorance!" He demanded slashing his tail lethally down at Koga. Koga sneered.

"Just what I wanted you to do, you idiot!" He yelled up at the scorpion. The tail grazed his arm and he cried out in pain.

While the scorpion stood in recovery from using his strength in that one blow to Koga's shoulder.

"Die demon!" He cried in his moment of glory. In his site, everything was in slow motion as his sword descended down on the demon. It hit his neck and the head fell at Koga's feet.

"Ivy, I got the glass." Koga said as he pried it out of the severed head with his shiny sword. Humph, he grunted.

Sakura Glass, He thought. Some of the most rare minerals around. He rubbed the smooth rock against his cheek.

He heard Ivy's footfalls and turned to face her. She sighed and flung herself at him in a hug. Tears streamed down her face.

"There you are, I was beginning to wor-" He was cut off by Ivy's hug. "ry" He finished dreamily. He wiped the tears out of Ivy's eyes. "Don't cry." He kissed her forehead and hugged back.

Ivy leaned closer to his face and stared into his eyes. They blushed and leaned closer so their lips brushed softly. Ivy realized he was bleeding, she hugged harder and let him have his way with her. He did not, he just pulled away and reached into her pack for the pouch.

Ivy's eyes shown hurt and she sighed.

"I am so glad you're okay." She said calmly and walked nearer him.
