A statue of Queen Victoria.
This photo was taken outside the old Sydney GPO. When this building was finished (in 1891), Sydney was still a colonial outpost of the British Empire. This is just one of thousands of statues that date back to that time, dedicated to a monarch living on the other side of the world.
The statue is actually located above the old entrance and this picture is taken at an angle.
