Blade of Light

This could or could not be the main theme/boss theme for a collaborative game I'm working on called "Cherub Felines."

In the game you play a young cat called Blanc who is a holy warrior belonging to a group called the "Cherub Felines". Blanc is short in stature and wears armor that is a bit too big for him, however, he is a fast and aggressive fighter, using a self-taught style that involves both sword, shield and scabbard in combination with holy magic. Blanc has a blessed sword that has the power to cleanse the evil from the souls of those it kills. As the sword cleanses souls, Blanc is rewarded with Heaven Orbs that he can use to perform greater attacks, heal himself, or he can store them and eventually transform into a mighty seraphim. However, the sword gives a much greater reward of orbs if Blanc shows mercy over fallen opponents. In order to get the greatest rewards, Blanc has to know when an enemy will give up and surrender. This isn't so easy when there are multiple enemies on screen, and you're in the middle of a massive chain combo.

Blanc's enemies at first appear to be a band of demons called the "Red Dawn", but as the game progresses, Blanc learns that the demons aren't his main foes, and even comes to realize that they are in just as bad a situation as his people.

Cherub Felines isn't my creation. It was originally designed by Killahunter, but he gave me permission to re-design it as a spin-off from my own anthro series, Maple Lenicy. As of such, Cherub Felines holds the same visual style, and the same values of there being no clear distinction between the good guys and the bad guys. Cherub Felines is no where near as dark and depressing as Maple Lenicy, though. It's more about hardcore action than anything else.

This piece of music was made using Fruityloops and nothing else. I made all the loops from scratch, and some of the instruments are even custom-edited from the Sytrus plugin.
