Midterm assignment from my class Figure Painting for Illustration. The goal was to do a portrait, using a color sheme from another painter. I picked my colors from a favorite piece of mine, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's
Private Room at the Rat Mort...though when I was painting, I didn't reference it at all, so the colors are totally different. (All that cadmium yellow, et cetera.)
...Lazzy.

Totally lovin' the Nicholson-smirk thing going on, and the yellow. Seems to denote a kind of icky vibe. Well, with that smarmy look on his face, I'm sure he ain't thinkin' o' anything rosy-pink.
Minstrel Ayreon Says:
I can see how that color scheme would appeal to you!

I just love the exaggerated facial expression...like elle said, definitely up to no good.
Rikki Merie Says:
Gorgeous X} I love the wild color variations for the shadings of his face and that smirk is definately loved.
