I'm not fully sure why I did this song next, but for some reason it's been in my head the last couple of days (I think it's because a film is coming out with this name.) This is my own version of the traditional folk song which is probably known around most of the world, especially Scotland and Ireland. I've went and used pretty much the entire orchestra.

Starting off I wanted to do a nice soft sound sweep, using 9ths and 11th chords to give it that sound scaping texture, especially on the pad and choir... then the piano gently leads it in. I've got my own self made breaks and bridges in there as well, with each verse getting more and more of a build up as well as key changes... until finally the entire orchestra is singing out the melody of Amazing Grace. Then it gentles down and finishes how it starts, with the soundscaping.

Have fun listening, if you haven't heard of the song before, Google it and listen to the masses of versions going around, it's a beautiful song.

Thankyou for taking an interest into my music!

This is really beautiful, even though I'm not Christian. Very nice!

Gate Andara Says:

Nicely done, you really captured the feel of the piece.
I have a couple versions of Amazing Grace, including one played on only on bagpipes. Since I've heard it performed multiple ways, this one doesn't make me "feel" so much as "appreciate" your skill at blending together all of the sounds at your disposal. It's one thing to hear an orchestra play the piece, it's another entirely for one person to combine instruments at will in order to recreate the piece as per their vision.

2key Says:

yay for synth sounds!

p.s. SoV whorish, once again...
