Water hazards during ages of gods and heroes, these sea nymphs known as Sirens lived on the island of Sirenum scopuli.
Inspired by Homer's Odyssey.
I was trying to mix the style of anime with classic romanticism, and here's the result, you can sort of see the anime influence in her hair, chest and a bit in the eyes. The background was kept symetrical to set a sense of calm and stillness.
30 hours in Photoshop CS,
reference on cloth, chest and arms.
